Providing car park decking solutions nationwide
Our specialist flooring division specialises in car park decking solutions for all types of car parks including multi-storeys and underground car parks.
Car park decking systems are designed specifically for car parks however they can be used for other environments where anti-slip properties are necessary.
There are two different types of car park decking systems:
Intermediate car park decking refers to any form of car parking located below the top deck, and this type of system is generally installed with a total layer thickness of 2-4mm.
This type of car park decking system consists of multiple layers of generally epoxy or MMA resin which is applied in a sandwich layer system with anti-slip aggregates.
The intermediate car park decking system is designed to protect the car park floor against potential forms of deterioration and damage including abrasion, impact and de-icing salts.
The intermediate car park decking system provides you with an endless choice of colours and design options to transform a dull, dark car park into a bright and attractive environment. The system also holds anti-slip properties which is an essential car park requirement to keep users safe and it can be used for demarcation application for traffic use.
Leeds Wellington Street and Darlington Multi-storey car park are examples of projects we have installed an intermediate deck system for.
Top car park decking refers to any form of exposed car parking, and this type of system is generally installed with a total layer thickness of 4-6mm.
Top car park decking and intermediate car park decking share similarities such as the system structure, extensive choice of colours and design options, crack-bridging properties and slip resistant properties.
Similarly to intermediate car park decks, this type of car park decking system consists of multiple layers with anti-slip aggregates, but a top deck system consists of the addition of a flexible membrane and joint reinforcement to provide waterproofing for the decks beneath.
The addition of these elements are designed to shield exposed floor areas against potential causes of wear and damage including water entry, UV attack and other forms of corrosion such as chloride penetration and de-icing salts.
